Flash Feed support

Questions, a problem with a card, or an idea: write to support@flashfeed.app. A real person reads it.

Plans and money

What is free, and what costs money?

Studying is always free. Importing a deck and writing cards yourself are always free too. Making cards from a page (a photo, a scan, a PDF or pasted text) is free for one page each calendar month, however many cards it makes; the free page comes back on the first of the month. A page is about a page of a book — up to roughly a thousand words. To make more, subscribe: monthly, or yearly with a 7-day free trial. The prices shown in the app are the App Store's, in your currency.

How do I restore a purchase, or cancel?

In Flash Feed: Settings, then the plan card (Free plan, or Your subscription if you are subscribed), then Restore purchases. A subscriber also sees Manage subscription there; if the plan is shared with you through Family Sharing, the family member who pays manages it. Subscriptions are managed by Apple: on your iPhone open Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. We never see your payment details.

Your cards

A card is wrong or confusing

Tap the three dots on the card and choose Edit card to fix it, or Remove from deck. Report a problem opens an email to us with the card filled in; nothing is sent until you press send.

Is there a limit on how many cards I can make?

Free: one page a calendar month (see above); imported decks and cards you write yourself are not limited. With a subscription you can make as many as you need, within fair use. If you ever reach a fair-use limit, the app tells you which one and when it resets; cards you write yourself and studying are never limited.

How do I send feedback or report a bug?

In Flash Feed: Settings, then Send feedback. It opens an email to us with your app version, iOS version, phone model and language and region setting filled in, and nothing from your decks; nothing is sent until you press send. For a single card, use the three dots on the card and Report a problem. Or write to support@flashfeed.app.

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Making cards on the phone itself needs iOS 26 and an iPhone with Apple Intelligence; on other iPhones the text of the page is turned into cards on our server, after you agree once. Photos never leave your phone.

Can I take my decks with me?

Yes. Every deck can be exported (Anki's .apkg) from its menu, subscribed or not, and a deck can be shared with a friend as a file.

Your data

How do I delete my data?

Everything you make lives on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes your decks, cards and progress, apart from two small Keychain entries that iOS keeps on that phone: this month's page count and the install code, which stays the same if you reinstall. There is no account. The server keeps only a random install code with page counts (for up to 40 days) and a public key from Apple's App Attest (for up to 60 days after you last make cards); the code is not tied to your name, and both expire by themselves, so there is nothing to look up. The details are in the privacy policy.
